The High Coast is a sparsely populated region of forests, rivers and small coastal towns with a strong industrial heritage. The water and access to renewable electricity offers favourable conditions for renewable hydrogen production. Local municipalities are working on new green projects to create future jobs, including planned expansion of wind parks. Within the hub, several large-scale hydrogen and electrofuel plants are being developed to supply aviation fuels, ship fuels and fertilisers to European markets.
